Top 10 of most ridiculous British laws
1. It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament. (might be a difficult one. And what is the punishment if you do die???? Prison sentence??? Who will serve it?? The corpse???)
2. It is an act of treason to put a stamp with the image of the British king or queen upside down.
3. In Liverpool a woman is not allowed to walk around topless in public, unless she works as a shop attendant in a shop for tropical fish. (what, the fish need a nice view? Or they need to feel like they are at home in the great big ocean???)
4. Eating mince piece on Christmas day is prohibited.
5. If someone knocks on your door in Scotland and asks to use your toilet, you are obliged to let this person in. (yihooooooo for the thieves! And note to self when going to Scotland!)
6. In the United Kingdom a pregnant woman is allowed to do nature’s call wherever she wants, even in the helmet of a police officer. (I would not make this information widely known!)
7. The head of every dead whale that is found on the British shore is automatically property of the king, the tale is for the queen. (this is one for the psychologists and must have something to do with status and ego…. Or maybe the pervert mind of the king that once drafted this law because he likes to be spanked with different objects……)
8. It is illegal not to tell the tax inspector things you do not want him to know. But it is legal not to tell him information which you do not mind him knowing. (huh? So you can psychologically trick yourself and not feel guilty and get away with not telling him what you do not want him to know….)
9. It is not allowed to enter the Houses of Parliament in hamas.
10. It is legal to kill a Scott within the old city walls of York, but only if he carries a bow and arrow. (what are the odds??? But don’t tell them because before you know it they go down the same road as the Belgians…… oh hold on :D Scotland is already recognised as a separate entity ;)).
